Betsey & Jonathon in Key West, FL

Betsey & Jonathon, from NYC, wanted to embrace the unique elements of Key West, which was found at a beautiful estate home in the Meadows neighborhood.

A wedding and a vacation was achieved for this couple, who decided upon renting a beautiful 5 bedroom, 4 bath estate home as their bridal party accommodations and wedding reception venue. The backyard was the size of the entire city block, allowing us to host this party of 100+ guests and still design for an intimate Key West affair. The event began at sunset at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, with a long elegant entrance to the foot of the Gulf waters. As an added charm for the guests; trolleys arrived to bring them to the private reception. Highlights of the evening include:

• Tropical touches were the key. The bright colors of the bridesmaid's dresses, to the men's vibrant ties and boutonnière's that hosted both tropical orchids and shells.
• Champagne Taste! Guests were able to find their tables by locating their name on a champagne bottle; each seat was set with a champagne cork donned with their name in beautiful bright pink calligraphy.
• The bride's experience of working in a NYC bakery had a touch in the evening's favors. Guests were able to bring home a darling photo of the couple placed on individual cookies.
• Dessert, dessert, dessert! Key Lime Tartlets garnished with fresh seasonal fruits and dendrobium orchids left the guests with a sweet taste of the event.
